Adam Persans has been a licensed Professional Engineer and active in a range of mechanical design and operation engineering activities over the last 40 years. In the past 20 years, he has specialized in the mechanical and automation design development of containment systems for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical process equipment for HPAPI materials.
In his current position as Business Development Manager, he is focused on the expanded use of single-use technology solutions that are applied to the high containment of large and small molecule processing equipment challenges and advocating the single-use value proposition and sustainability when compared to competing technologies.
Adam’s academic background at Bucknell University in Physics and Mathematics, ’85, US Naval Nuclear Power Officer training, and a pass on matriculation into Solid State Physics PhD programs at the University of Illinois and University of North Carolina gives him insight into the challenges of the drug process scale-up, from scientists in the development lab to process engineers addressing the challenges of kilo lab to full-scale production scale ups of HPAPI materials.
