About Lisa

Lisa Schubert is a Certified Industrial Hygienist with over 30 years of experience in varied industries, including pharmaceutical, petrochemical, telecommunications, and astrospace. For the past 19 years, she has worked for Merck & Company. In 2025, she joined their Global Engineering Solutions organization, supporting risk assessments and detailed design for potent product manufacturing and packaging facilities (including ADCs). Prior to that, she served in Merck’s Corporate Global Safety and Environment organization, supporting several lines of business, including Merck Research Laboratories, Merck Animal Health, and the Global Vaccine Organization. Lisa has worked on numerous projects to enable the safe handling of potent compounds, OSHA carcinogens, laboratory animal allergens, and cleaning/disinfection agents, and has also contributed to developing and growing the company’s Ergonomics, Potent Compound, and Enzyme standards. She is currently a member of several engineering project teams supporting potent compound and toxic chemical projects, focusing on at-source containment and minimizing potential for migration and cross-contamination into general production spaces.
