About Nicole

Nicole Wenk is a Certified Industrial Hygienist and Certified Safety Professional with over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. After starting her career in consulting, she discovered her passion for pharma, spending many years at Johnson & Johnson and the last seven years at Merck.

At Merck, Nicole works in the Corporate Global Safety and Environment organization’s Industrial Hygiene Center of Excellence, supporting Merck Research Laboratories and major capital projects. She specializes in potent compound readiness, containment performance assessments, and data-driven improvements to corporate industrial hygiene standards.

Nicole partners closely with engineering teams to design and implement innovative containment solutions. Her work in enzymes, containment verification, potent compound containment, and industrial hygiene risk assessments supports safe, compliant, and sustainable operations in complex research and manufacturing environments.
